Description

This 8 hour course is designed as an overview of OSHA and National Electric Code requirements for industrial electrical systems, installations and equipment from a safety perspective. Topics covered include hazardous location of equipment, ground fault circuit interrupters, single- and three-phase systems and electrical hazard recognition.

  Regulation   29 CFR 1910, Subpart S, NFPA 70 and NFPA 72

  Audience

 
  Employees who work around or with industrial electrical systems
and their management.

  Course Objectives

 
  Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

 
  • Recognize electrical hazards
• Understand electrical safety issues related to
   hazardous substances and locations
• Be able to reference OSHA electrical standards
   in general industry regulations
