This 10 hour course is developed by utilizing one-hour modules from the following topics, or other relevant course topics, to meet your specific needs:
Introduction to OSHA, OSH Act/General Duty Clause 5(a)(1), and Subpart C: General Safety and Health Provisions, Competent Person, Subpart K: Electrical, Subpart M: Fall Protection, Subpart H: Material Handling, Storage Use and Disposal, Subpart I: Tools, Hand and Power, Subpart L: Scaffolding, Subpart X: Stairways and Ladders, Subpart P: Excavations, Lead and Asbestos Hazards in Construction and Subpart Z: Toxic and Hazardous Substances. The 10 hour US Department of Labor OSHA card is issued upon successful completion.

Course Objectives
 
    Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

• Define construction terms found in the OSHA standards
• Present effective safety and health training programs in accordance with    OSHA’s construction standards, regulations, and guidelines
• Identify hazards that occur in the construction industry and determine    appropriate standards
• Prepare reports citing the conditions found
• Identify methods to correct hazards Identify the common causes of    accidents and fatalities in hazardous areas of construction
• Identify abatement techniques for hazards found in construction.
